Hi, I’m Rosa…
I’m a proud eldest daughter of Mexican immigrants. I grew up as the one who went first—the one who figured things out, set the example, and navigated spaces my family had never entered. I was the family translator, advocate, and problem-solver long before I ever had a leadership title.
Now, I’m a toddler mom, a salsa lover, community educator, and a leadership coach for leaders of color.
I’ve Been Where You Are.
Before I had a leadership title, I was already leading. As the first in my family to navigate unfamiliar systems, I learned early how to take charge in uncertainty. That experience shaped me—it made me resourceful, resilient, and adaptable. But it also ingrained patterns that made leadership harder than it needed to be: overworking, proving, struggling with boundaries, and hiding my fears when I didn’t have the answers.
I know what it’s like to step into leadership while carrying the weight of social and cultural expectations. To second-guess yourself in rooms where no one looks like you. To work twice as hard and still wonder if you belong. I get why it’s hard to slow down, set boundaries, and lead with confidence—because I had to unlearn the same things.
That’s why my coaching is different. You can go to a leadership coach who understands strategy, but I understand you. My coaching is culturally responsive because how we lead is shaped by where we come from, the responsibilities we’ve carried, and the expectations placed on us.
Leadership Isn’t Just About Strategy—It’s About People.
Leadership is about more than just executing plans and strategies—it’s about the people you lead, the relationships you build, and how you show up authentically. I built strong, effective teams by doing what came naturally—building relationships, listening deeply, and creating spaces where people felt seen and valued. I created cross-functional teams, mentored and coached leaders of color, and developed strategies that challenged the status quo.
I didn’t just climb the ladder—I redefined what leadership could look like for people like us. The way you navigate challenges, build trust, and support your team is just as important as the strategy you implement. In my coaching, we focus on both the human and strategic aspects of leadership, creating environments where leaders feel empowered to build sustainable teams and drive impactful change, all while staying true to who they are.
How I Got Here.
I spent 15+ years as a strategic leader in management roles, where I:
✅ Built cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
✅ Created systems and strategies that challenged the status quo
✅ Mentored and coached leaders of color
✅ Redefined leadership for myself and those around me
I didn’t just learn how to be an effective leader—I got clear on the kind of leader I wanted to be. One who made an impact not just through my work, but in how I led and supported my team. I learned how to advocate for myself and let my experience and ability to build relationships speak for itself. I fought against “this is how it’s always been” and created new ways forward.
Now, I Help Leaders Like You.
I help leaders of color build confidence, advocate for themselves, and lead with less self-doubt and more self-trust. I coach them through the unlearning that leadership requires—so they can stop overworking, start setting boundaries, and lead in a way that feels true to them.
And because no leader thrives alone, I also help them build and lead teams that thrive, creating workplaces that are more collaborative, sustainable, and effective.
You don’t have to prove yourself by doing more. You don’t have to lead the way leadership has always been done. You get to lead your way—and I’m here to help you do it.
